The Comprehensive Audit

Every Policy. Every Premium. One Coordinated Plan.

The VFC Insurance Optimization Program is a full audit of every insurance policy you own — personal, business, life, disability, property, liability, umbrella, key person, executive — analyzed for coverage gaps, redundancies, cost inefficiencies, and structural mistakes. It is the single most thorough insurance review most clients have ever experienced.

What Gets Audited

Twelve Coverage Categories. One Coordinated Analysis.

Most high-net-worth households and business owners have a dozen or more separate insurance policies — placed by separate agents, at separate times, with no coordination. The VFC Optimization Program brings every one of them under a single audit.

01

Life Insurance

Term, whole, universal, and variable — examined for cost, performance, and fit.

02

Disability Income

Personal and group coverage analyzed for definition of disability, benefit period, and offset language.

03

Long-Term Care

Standalone LTC and hybrid life/LTC products reviewed for inflation protection and benefit triggers.

04

Health & Medical

Individual, family, group, Medicare, and Medicare supplement coverage reviewed annually.

05

Auto & Property

Personal auto, homeowners, valuables, and umbrella coverage reviewed for limits and exclusions.

06

Personal Umbrella

Excess liability limits stress-tested against actual net worth exposure.

07

Annuities

Income riders, accumulation crediting, surrender schedules, and beneficiary designations reviewed.

08

Business Liability

General liability, professional liability (E&O), and cyber liability coverage analyzed.

09

Key Person

Coverage on key executives audited for adequacy and ownership structure.

10

Buy-Sell Funding

The funding behind partnership buy-sell agreements stress-tested against current business value.

11

Workers' Comp

Coverage and rates audited for misclassification, experience modification accuracy, and audit recovery.

12

Specialty Coverage

Aviation, marine, fine art, collectibles, and other specialty policies reviewed by category specialists.

What The Audit Produces

A Three-Document Deliverable.

At the end of the Insurance Optimization engagement, the client receives a structured report — not a sales pitch.

The Coverage Map

A complete inventory of every insurance policy currently in force across personal and business lines. Total annual premium, coverage limits, beneficiaries, and renewal dates all documented in one place.

The Gap Analysis

Where coverage is insufficient — under-insured umbrella, missing disability income, inadequate liability for a growing net worth — clearly identified with recommended adjustments.

The Cost Optimization Report

Where coverage is redundant, overpriced, or sub-optimally structured — including specific recommendations to reduce annual premium without reducing protection.

Beneficiary & Ownership Audit

Every policy's beneficiary designation and ownership structure reviewed for coordination with your estate plan, trusts, and family situation.

Annual Review Cadence

Insurance needs change as net worth grows, children mature, businesses scale, and estate plans evolve. The Optimization Program includes annual review meetings to keep everything current.

Coordinated Implementation

When changes are needed, VFC implements them — sourcing the right replacement coverage, executing 1035 exchanges where appropriate, and coordinating with your existing agents where the existing relationship makes sense to preserve.

The VFC Insurance Optimization Engagement

Four Stages. One Coordinated Result.

Most Optimization engagements complete within 60 to 90 days from initial document collection to final report and implementation.

01

Document Collection

We provide a complete checklist of every policy, declarations page, and rider needed for the audit. Most clients have never assembled this in one place.

02

Multi-Specialist Review

Each policy category is reviewed by the VFC team specialist for that line — life, disability, property, business, and so on.

03

Coordinated Report

All findings consolidated into a single written report with prioritized recommendations and quantified cost savings.

04

Implementation & Maintenance

Recommendations executed under VFC oversight, with an annual review calendar established for ongoing optimization.

Common Questions

The Optimization Program — Questions Clients Ask First.

How is this different from my existing insurance agent's review?

Most agents review only the policies they sold you — and have a commission interest in moving you to new policies. VFC reviews every policy you own, across every agent and every carrier, with no incentive to move coverage unless the client genuinely benefits.

What does the Optimization Program cost?

The audit and report are included in the broader VFC Financial Master Review at no additional charge. Implementation of any new coverage is compensated through standard insurance commission structures — never a separate fee to the client.

Do you replace my existing agents?

Not necessarily. Where existing agent relationships are working well and the coverage is competitive, we preserve them. Where coverage needs to change, we either work with your existing agent or sourcing through VFC's carrier network — whichever serves the client best.

How much do clients typically save?

Premium savings of 20-30% across the total stack is common, with most of the savings coming from rationalizing redundant coverage rather than reducing protection. Many clients end up with more coverage at lower total cost.

How often should the optimization be repeated?

Annually for review meetings; comprehensive re-audit every 3-5 years or after major life events (sale of business, marriage, divorce, significant net worth change). The Master Custom Guide tracks the renewal schedule for you.
